Their furry coverings recall the windscreens used to shield microphones; here, however, wind is not filtered out but welcomed as material, performer, and unpredictable force.<\/p>\n<p>A sixteen-minute score combines wind machines, recorders, sounds captured in Venice and Helsinki, and a year of meteorological data from the Gulf of Venice. The installation shifts the question of control: measuring the atmosphere does not mean possessing it, especially when the technical systems that forecast weather also help destabilise it.
