The exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade presents a comprehensive overview of Zdravko Joksimović’s work, spanning from the late 1980s to today. It features a large number of sculptures, objects, and drawings grouped into twelve thematic units, addressing topics such as material experimentation, biomorphic and erotic forms, corporeality, religious iconography and symbolism, personal references to former Yugoslavia, tributes to the work of artist Bora Iljovski. Joksimović graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade and has been a professor there since 1992. He has exhibited internationally and completed public sculptures in Japan, Scotland, and other countries. This exhibition highlights his decades-long contribution to contemporary sculpture and his ongoing engagement with form, matter, and social context.
