A three-armed pendulum drives the airflow thresholds of a prepared pipe organ. Navid Navab and Garnet Willis do not ask it to execute a stable score: they construct the conditions for audible instability. Between gravity, pipes and electronics, every movement redistributes the possibilities of sound. The sculpture questions our desire to control matter rather than negotiate with it.
