In BOUNDARY, a point of light leaves the constraints of a mechanical structure and continues as a projection. Around a suspended square, a cloud of particles accompanies its passage between physical and digital space. Movement appears hesitant inside the physical apparatus, then freer in its virtual extension. The installation questions the limits of a being whose movement and perception extend beyond its body.

Artist: Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ryan Leung is an interdisciplinary designer based in Toronto. His practice brings together digital fabrication, physical programming and computational design. He also works with the Living Architecture Systems Group.
