Lenka Clayton & Phillip Andrew Lewis – Darkhouse Lighthouse

In Pittsburgh, Lenka Clayton and Phillip Andrew Lewis built a working lighthouse inside a house. Darkhouse Lighthouse relocates an instrument of maritime navigation to a neighbourhood far from the ocean. Hidden behind a domestic façade, this architecture connects the intimate experience of a place with much larger timescales.
