Latvia’s pavilion becomes a backstage environment where garments, structures and archival images form a collective stage. MAREUNROL’S enters into dialogue with Bruno Birmanis’s Untamed Fashion Assemblies, experimental events held in Riga during the 1990s.
Bringing performance, fashion and club culture together, the installation revisits freedom in the making. Bodies and appearances become ways to invent other forms of living together.
