A green laser turns inside a disused circular reservoir in Tbilisi. Its sweep picks out the basin’s concrete walls, rubble and graffiti, while changes of speed disturb its radar-like rhythm. Peter Vink adds a motorised mechanism to the existing site, leaving its accumulated debris in place. The former industrial infrastructure becomes a system that appears to keep searching after its original purpose has disappeared.
