The oak stops being an isolated object and becomes a network of interdependent lives. Commissioned by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Of the Oak makes normally invisible ecological relationships perceptible through collaboration with scientists.
The image’s scale shifts our attention: looking at a tree also means encountering the beings and exchanges that constitute it.
