Ordinary urban rhythms become material for slowing down attention.

Kingsley Ng & Angel Hui — Fermata: Hong Kong in Venice (2026)

Presented in Venice in 2026, installations by Kingsley Ng and Angel Hui use light, sound and movement drawn from everyday experiences of Hong Kong. The title borrows a musical sign that extends a note or silence.

The exhibition invites us to consider duration as a collective construction. Objects and beings that usually receive little attention become starting points for a different relationship with urban time.
